BELVIDE BIRDING

Common Tern numbers have increased today with a family party of 4 arriving this morning, there were 16 birds in total. The moulting flock of Mute Swan have increased to 104 also Tufted Duck have increased to 104. 2 unseasonal Siskin were in the reservoir plantation also a family of 4 Bullfinch were near the Gazebo hide. A Little Ringed Plover was on the north shore also a single Common Sandpiper. A Lesser Spotted Woodpecker was seen briefly at the woodland feeding station. A group of 20 Sand Martin flew thru to the south which seemed unusual for the middle of summer.
