BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, August 1, 2007 - Belvide Fair then Cloudy W 2

The juvenile Black-necked Grebe was still present but had moved to the west end. 5 Common Sandpiper were along the dam wall and 3 Snipe were on the north shore. 4 Teal and 17 Shoveler were counted. 3 Lesser Whitethroat were between the Scott and Bryant hide. A Migrant Hawker (photo) was along the south east bay. A notice to all permit holders. The ringing group are planning a session on saturday morning between 6am-10am. All are welcome. Ringing is carried out halfway between the Scott and Gazebo hides. If it is Raining or very windy it will be cancelled.
