BELVIDE BIRDING

• Tuesday, August 14, 2007 - Belvide Rain S 3-4

With the pouring rain this morning it was hoped that a few waders might be grounded, but how wrong was I. The only waders seen were 2 Common Sandpiper and a single LRP. The juvenile Black-necked Grebe (photo) was in the south east bay and there were 10 Swift above the dam. This evening a juvenile Mediterranean Gull roosted and 2 Yellow Wagtail were seen.

A notice to permit holders. A ringing session is planned for tomorrow evening between 6-8.30pm. Also 2 more sessions over the coming weekend- Saturday 6-8.30pm and Sunday 6-10am. Please note that if the weather is poor it will result in cancellation
