BELVIDE BIRDING

• Sunday, August 26, 2007 - Belvide Fair NW 2-3

A juvenile Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Dunlin and a single Ringed Plover were all new arrivals this morning. Also a Green Sandpiper and 4 Common Sandpiper were present. An immature Peregrine flew over mid morning and a Green Woodpecker was very mobile along the south side. Coot have increased to 1340 also 128 Gadwall, 75 Shoveler, 8 Wigeon and 1 Shelduck were counted. Common Tern are fewer now with 21 present, a single Yellow Wagtail flew south early morning. Little Grebe have bred in the south east bay with 1 chick seen.
