BELVIDE BIRDING

An Osprey flew thru to the south at 12.45pm, a Little Egret also flew thru early morning. The north shore held a  new Greenshank, a single Golden Plover was amongst the lapwing also single Dunlin and 2 Common Sandpiper on the dam.Another 3 Swift passed thru this morning. The ringing group caught 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Whitethroat, 4 Blackcap, 19 Chiffchaff, 3 Willow Warbler and 4 Bullfinch. Both Hobby and Peregrine were present this afternoon. 3 Pintail were still present also 154 Shoveler, 132 Gadwall, 7 Wigeon, 1 Shelduck, 372 Mallard, 109 Teal and 117 Mute Swan were counted. 9 Common Tern were still present.
