BELVIDE BIRDING

• Friday, September 7, 2007 - Belvide Fair NW 3

The main highlight today was a Little Stint at the west end, this was a new addition to the year list. There were still 4 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin and 1 Common Sandpiper. A couple of juvenile Hobby were new around the reserve and at one stage one of them had a pop at the Little Stint. A small increase in wildfowl was noted with 5 Pintail, 14 Wigeon, 133 Teal, 66 Shoveler and 104 Greylag Geese. 4 Common Tern were still present and an immature Peregrine was seen this morning.
