• Saturday, September 22, 2007 - Belvide Fair SW 1-2

The 2 juvenile Arctic Terns were still present today also the eclipse drake Mandarin. 6 Golden Plover and 1 Ringed Plover were on the north shore with a Common Sandpiper still on the dam. A Water Rail was showing from the screen just east of the Scott hide. A Peregrine was seen to catch a Lapwing on the north shore this afternoon. The ringing group caught 7 Chiffchaff and a Reed Warbler.

At 13:30, an immature Peregrine chased the Lapwings and Gulls. It eventually took a Lapwing from the water's edge and ate it on the North Shore. The Peregrine was still there at 14:15.

There were also 8 Buzzards circling in the North West
