BELVIDE BIRDING

• Sunday, October 7, 2007 - Belvide Overcast Calm

A Cetti's Warbler burst into song in the Gazebo bay reed bed this morning and showed briefly. An adult Little Gull was present until mid morning only. The Grey Plover was still present also 17 Golden Plover, 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Curlew. A single Brambling flew over the dam early morning also 6 Siskin and 3 Redpoll. 2 Shelduck were new and the Goldeneye and Goosander remain. An immature Peregrine was chasing Lapwings this morning and a single Chiffchaff was still present. 45 Redwing flew west.
