A skywatch off the dam between 0800-0930 produced, 172 Redwing, 84 Fieldfare, 18 Song thrush, 1 Brambling, 137 Chaffinch, 4 Linnet, 19 Siskin, 2 Redpoll, 2 Rock Pipit and 339 Starling.
A 1st winter Mediterranean Gull was present early morning, the Grey Plover was still present and 2 Dunlin were new in. Another Rock Pipit was on the north shore till late morning. 3 Shelduck were new and a single Chiffchaff was still present.
The ringing group catch totals between July and late September are as follows. 136 Chiffchaff, 65 Willow Warbler, 55 Reed Warbler, 32 Sedge Warbler, 18 Lesser Whitethroat, 14 Whitethroat, 45 Blackcap, 34 Garden Warbler, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 7 Goldcrest, 1 Pied Flycatcher, 30 Blue Tit, 7 Great Tit, 30 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Willow Tit, 1 Marsh Tit, 13 Bullfinch, 3 Greenfinch, 3 Goldfinch, 27 Robin, 26 Blackbird, 17 Reed Bunting, 20 Wren, 2 Sparrowhawk, 1 Woodpigeon, 1 Treecreeper, 18 Tree Sparrow, 21 Dunnock, 33 Starling and 6 Song Thrush. |
