BELVIDE BIRDING

• Monday, November 19, 2007 - Belvide Cloudy SE 2-3

A decent afternoons birding with the main highlight being a Mealy Redpoll that fed with 9 Lesser Redpoll between the south east bay and Gazebo hide. Also a probable Siberian Chiffchaff was also seen in the south east bay but the light was too poor and no call was heard to be positive with ID. A Knot was a new arrival on the north shore also single Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank and Dunlin. Finaly a Woodcock flew over the car park at dusk to end the day off nicely.
