BELVIDE BIRDING

• Saturday, January 5, 2008 - Belvide Fair WSW 3

4 Nordic Jackdaws were below the dam this afternoon with 2 well marked birds. There was also a single Green Sandpiper and 4 Grey Partridge were also seen. A drake Goosander was new for the year also a flock of 136 Greylag Geese were the first iof the year. 271 Teal and 284 Coot were counted. A large gull roost this evening with 6-7000 large gulls was ruined by some plonker with a gun behind the dam.
