BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, January 16, 2008 - Belvide Fair SW 1-2

A very smart 1st winter Caspian Gull roosted this evening and was one of the longest billed individuals I have seen. Also an adult and 1st winter Yellow-legged Gull roosted. The 1st winter drake Scaup was off the dam this afternoon, a pair of Pintail were new arrivals and Gadwall have increased to 96. 2 Nordic Jackdaw were still below the dam and 7 Lesser Redpoll (photo) were showing well by the Scott hide. 890 Lapwing and 100+ Golden Plover were on the north shore.
