The 1st winter drake Scaup was still present, also the drake Mandarin in the south east bay but was elusive. A drake Pintail dropped in mid afternoon, an impressive 92 Goldeneye were counted at dusk also 5 Goosander 1 drake 4 redheads dropped in at dusk. 2000 large gulls roosted this evening with 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls amongst them.

A MESSAGE TO ALL PERMIT HOLDERS. DUE TO THE WEST MIDLAND BIRD CLUB STRUGGLING TO SEND ALL THE PERMITS OUT, IT HAS BEEN DECIDED TO CHANGE THE CODE TO THE HIDES AND CAR PARK AT THE END OF FEBRUARY. SO PLEASE DONT THROW AWAY YOUR OLD MEMBERSHIP CARDS. ANY PROBLEMS DONT HESITATE TO EMAIL ME.
