BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, February 13, 2008 - Belvide Sunny E 1

Another superb gull roost this evening. Firstly a new 2nd winter Iceland Gull dropped in at 5.25pm, then the juvenile from last night came in at 5.35pm and finally the juvenile Glaucous Gull dropped in at 5.45pm. It was really pleasing as 13 expectant birders were present to enjoy this unusual gull bounty at Belvide, and I'm sure no one went home disappointed.

The 1st winter drake Scaup was still present also 3 Oystercatcher and 94 Wigeon. A Woodcock flew past the scott hide at 6.45am.
