BELVIDE BIRDING

A juvenile Iceland Gull roosted at 5.25pm and a 1st winter Caspian Gull flew thru to the south east at 4.10pm heading off towards Chasewater. 2 Yellow-legged Gulls roosted including  1st and 2nd winter birds. The 1st winter drake Scaup remains off the dam wall.

A notice to permit holders. British Waterways will start work tomorrow on the flailing and dredging of the boundary ditches. Work will take around 2 weeks to complete. The reserve remains fully open, but please be cautious near machinery.
