BELVIDE BIRDING

• Friday, March 7, 2008 - Belvide Fair W 3-4

The Barn Owl performed well again on the north west shore from 5.40pm and was seen to catch a small rat. The first Chiffchaff of the spring was near the scott hide. The 1st winter drake Scaup was still present also 104 Tufted Duck were counted. Both 1st and 2nd winter Yellow-legged Gulls were opposite the Bryant hide late afternoon. 7 Oystercatcher and 2 Curlew were also seen.
