BELVIDE BIRDING

• Friday, March 21, 2008 - Belvide Frequent Showers NW 5-7

 An adult Kittiwake flew north at 6.20pm and was reward for Kev Clements 11 hour visit. A 2nd winter Yellow-legged Gull was also seen late afternoon.2 male Wheatear were in a rough field next to Hawkshutt farm. 3 Brambling (photo) were present with a pair at the woodland feeding station and a single at the Gazebo hide. Sand Martin numbers were down with 40 counted. The 1st winter drake Scaup was still present. Single Raven and Peregrine were seen and 60+ Meadow Pipit were in fields just south of the reserve.
