A smart Black-necked Grebe in summer plumage was a new arrival, also the Egyptian Goose put in another appearance. It was present till 11.40am when it flew off the north west. 2 Swallow flew thru and 35 Sand Martin were counted. The 1st winter drake Scaup was still present and 87 Goldeneye were counted at dusk. There has been no sign of the Barn Owl for a week now but Hayden Brown has kindly sent in a photo of the bird taken 2 weeks ago.
