The main highlight today was a summer plumage Water Pipit that was perched on wires over the west marsh late afternoon before dropping into the crop field below. The first Common Sandpiper of the year was on the spill weir also a single Dunlin was a new arrival. At least 450 Sand Martin were present with 20+ Swallow and 5+ House Martin. Willow Warblers have increased to 5. A probable Osprey was seen high up and flying north west at 1.20pm.
