BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, April 16, 2008 - Belvide Misty, Murky E 2

A female Redstart was on the north side of the reserve in the fisherman's car park this morning. A single Yellow Wagtail was on the dam wall this morning with another 3 this evening. also 2 Common Sandpiper. A single Dunlin flew thru this morning. 150+ Sand Martin, 50 Swallow and 25+ House Martin were over the water. At least 10 Willow Warbler were singing. 5 Wigeon and 2 Pochard remain, also 2 Shelduck this evening.

A notice to all permit holders. From tomorrow, Shutt Green Lane which is the only access road to the car park will be closed for the next 2 days due to work on telephone lines. Access by car will not be possible.
