BELVIDE BIRDING

• Thursday, April 17, 2008 - Belvide Fair E 4-5

The first Common Tern of the year was present this afternoon. 3 Redstart were seen including a male and female in the fisherman's car park and another male below the dam. 9 Yellow Wagtail was good spring count compared to recent spring passage with 7 on the dam and 2 on the north shore. Single Little-ringed Plover and Common Sandpiper wer on the shingle island. At least 12 Goldeneye were still present and 5 Wigeon still.
