BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - Belvide Early Rain then Fair W 2

A small arrival of migrants today included the first Swift and Lesser Whitethroat of the year. An increase to 10 Sedge Warbler also 3 Reed Warbler and 2 Whitethroat were noted. A male Brambling was by the gazebo hide and 2 Raven were perched at the west end. A single Common Sandpiper was on the spill weir. The Barn Owl performed well off the west lane between 8-9am also it has been seen regularly in the evenings from 6.45pm. 9 Goldeneye remain with 5 Wigeon.
