BELVIDE BIRDING

• Sunday, April 27, 2008 - Belvide Patchy Rain SSE 1

2 Black Tern was reward for an early visit as they were present till 7am only. Also up to 8 Common Tern this morning. 4 Garden Warbler were all fresh in, other migrant counts included 12 Sedge Warbler, 5 Reed Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Whitethroat but only 1 Willow Warbler. The Greenshank was present till 8.30am when it flew out north. 7 Dunlin and 6 Common Sandpiper were also seen this morning. A single male Wheatear was on the shingle island a Peregrine flew over midday and still 5 Goldeneye and 3 Wigeon.
