BELVIDE BIRDING

• Thursday, May 15, 2008 - Belvide Overcast ENE 2-3

A drake Garganey at the west end was a new arrival. The dark headed Ruddy Duck was still present but remains elusive amongst the reeds infront of the Scott hide. The immature drake Goldeneye and drake Wigeon were still present also a pair of Teal. A single LRP was on the shingle island. The Spotted Flycatcher was still around the woodland feeding station. A Hobby was hawking over the water late afternoon and Common Tern have increased to 10

The new hide is almost completed. Due to a few minor alterations the hide will be officially open on Saturday.
