BELVIDE BIRDING

• Thursday, December 11, 2008 - Belvide Cloudy NNW 1

The female Common Scoter was still present today mainly infront of the Gazebo hide. The bird is quiet vocal giving a hoarse yapping call, which is the first time I have ever heard one call. Another large gull roost with 7 adult Yellow-legged Gulls amongst 3500 LBB Gull, 75 Herring Gull and 5 GBB Gull. 40 Siskin were along the Gazebo bay this morning and the male Stonechat was on the south shore near the west end hide.
