BELVIDE BIRDING

• Wednesday, December 24, 2008 - Belvide Cloudy Calm

The main attraction today was again the 26 Waxwings half a mile east of the reserve, spending most of the day feeding on apples next to Lea cottage.

On the reservoir the Redpoll flock was seen again this morning but it wasn't checked properly for any Mealy's. 65 Gadwall, 76 Wigeon and 29 Pochard were counted.

I would like to wish all the regular Blog readers a Merry Christmas and a Bird filled new year.
