Higher Hyde - 11:02 PM, Tuesday, August 8, 2006

An afternoon trip to the reserve on a warm day with a moderate NW wind . The Painted Lady was the most numerous of the butterflies along with a few Peacocks and Red Admirals. The main pond has nearly dried up and looks like a muddy pool overgrown with reeds.
Both Common and Sand Lizard could be seen basking on the lorry park banking.
