An afternoon trip in cool and blustery conditions to Fontmell Down, hoping to see the very rare (in Dorset) Silver-Spotted Skipper.![]() The view at the start of the walk looking in the direction of Fontmell Down. ![]() Colourful birds - Redstarts ![]() One of a family of Spotted Flycatchers on the same fence as the Redstarts. ![]() All the activity attracted the attention of the local Sparrowhawk. ![]() The Sparrowhawk has landed but the Redstarts and Flycatchers all escaped. ![]() After all that excitement - a female Silver-spotted Skipper. ![]() The less colourful male Silver-Spotted Skipper
