Poole Harbour - Ospreys at Middlebere - 8:01 PM, Thursday, August 23, 2007

A warm day with a good burst of sunshine that brought the insects out on Hartland Moor. At the hide an Osprey did a nice fly-by putting up a flock of godwits.

ospreys at middlebere/arne - 9:22 PM, Friday, September 7, 2007

My husband and I went out yesterday,Thursday,to have a good look for ospreys,we caught up with a guided rspb tour doing a migration watch, but prior to catching up with them , there was a lone chap with a superb set of sights mounted on a tripod . He was focussing on three dead trees in the middle distance, and there perched regally was an osprey! We managed to photo the bird , but the distance is a bit fuzzy, how overwhelmed I felt seeing it. Thursdayy was a very hot day, the waders were feeding, and there wre a couple of egrets in one of the creeks. The sight of this bird though was a real thrill.
I adore your Dorset diary, your photography is class.
You have a new fan!!
