On the borders - Ibsley - 3:36 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2008

A frosty start to the day left the road down to the Blashford lakes visitor centre covered in ice and very slippery.Two of the three new hides are open and the variety of birdlife on view is impressive.

A drake Goosander.

Great White Egret.

Bittern.

Buzzard.

Bewick swans on the water meadows.
