An excellent morning, sunny and not too windy. The harbour was full of fishermen and fishing boats all of which were scaring off the wildlife (including four Long-tail ducks). Moving on to Middlebere there was a flock of 300+ Avocets in front of the hide and the adjacent field had good size flocks of Brents and Lapwings. A pair of Hen Harriers were quartering the reed beds. A female Hen Harrier.   A male Hen Harrier. |
