Middlebere - Spoonbills - 6:52 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2008

The arctic winds from the north seem to have put paid to most bird migration for now. On a day when it tried to rain, sleet and snow, a flock of nine Spoonbills seemed oddly out of place next to the more familiar Brent geese.

Brent geese.

A Peregrine flashing in low over the reeds just failed to grab a Teal.

Time to leave.
