Martin Down - Butterflies - 10:11 PM, Wednesday, July 23, 2008

On one of the summers rare (so far) hot days it was a pleasure to be tramping around the downs. A lot of the Fritillaries looked very worn so their season is coming to an end already. The downland flowers especially Knapweed and Scabious were in full bloom and amongst them we came across a new flower, Round-headed Rampion.
