A notable first sighting of a Nightjar in daylight, flushed from the path as we crossed the moor.. Despite watching it closely as it flew off a short distance, it blended into the ground cover and disappeared. Otherwise there was a gathering of Swallows and a few Spotted Flycatchers preparing for their southward journey.  |
