Leaving the beach, we came across this American Kestrel:


Next we came across a flock of Mottled Ducks:



Next we came upon some FALL COLORS IN GALVESTON!!!!

We went back to Jim's and everybody headed home and I stuck around and shot pictures of some of the migrants. I found the Vermillion Flycatcher again. THere were a number of Eastern Kingbirds around

Another Flycatcher, the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was also around:


There was a Great Blue Heron on the water on one of the back roads

There were a number of less than popular species that I thought looked pretty good in the light:
