Mediterranean Gull

a juvenile was at EHF 25th to 28th

a single 8th and 3 on the 18th at EHF

Common Gull

singles 10th and 25th at EHF

Common Tern

a single at PHF on 15th and at EHF 17th

   

OTHER SIGHTINGS

250 House Martins were over EHF on the 7th ~ Yellowhammers were recorded at EHF and Haslington ~ a Little Egret was over EHF on the 23rd ~ three Great Spotted Woodpeckers were at the EHF feeders on the 24th and a Green Woodpecker was seen at Oakwood Lane, Elton on the 25th ~ 5 Whitethroats, 3 Lesser Whitethroats, a Sedge Warbler, a Willow Warbler and a Chiff Chaff were all in the hedge at PHF on the 25th ~ Kingfishers were recorded at Rode Pool and EHF and a pair of Bullfinches plus 4 juvs have been coming to feeders in a Crewe garden

    an Osprey was seen over Doddington Pool three times during this afternoon, the first time mobbed by a resident Raven.

    yesterday's osprey still at Doddington on 1st August where it was seen to catch a fairly large roach and fly off with it.
