Elsewhere 2 Goosander were on the River Dane at Byley on the 9th, 2 Ruddy Duck and a female Mandarin were at RF on the 10th and 3 Gadwall were at FF on the 23rd. A Green Sandpiper was at Stowford on the 6th and an Oystercatcher was at WLF on the 20th.

pair of oystercatchers have returned to the breeding site by the pool. Those of my friends who see Grey Partridge at the end of the drive by the main road on most visits will no doubt be pleased to know that today I saw two there myself. The first for several years here!!Colin Lythgoe

20 members have returned safely from the long weekend trip. A highly enjoyable and successful trip with a total of 120 species recorded including all three divers, 18,000 Barnacle Geese, Long-tailed Duck, Velvet Scoter, Black Guillemot, 300 Siskin, 100 Twite and a few Crossbills. A full list will be on the noticeboard at the next indoor meeting.Colin
