Alvecote Pools SSSI - A new Google map!

I have had quite a few requests regarding where different pools and landmarks are at Alvecote Pools SSSI.  I have just set up a new map via the excellent and user friendly Google Maps site.  If there any areas that I might have missed please let me know.

Please click on the ALVECOTE POOLS MAP link on the permanent links area on the right hand side of my blog, just above the visitor locations 'Map of the World'.

Once you're on the map you can change between a satelite image, a plain map or a terrain map, it's up to you.  A list of the landmarks with a brief description can be found to the left of the map.

I've received the link to your blog through WMBC. But the google map will not stay on the page it just comes up very quickly and disappears. Any suggestions? Seems like a top idea to me.

Arch Responds: It could be that you have a 'pop-ups blocked' option set up on your computer. Check out your security settings. All the best.

About Me

WARNING: PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS ADVISED. CERTIFICATE 18. Thanks for dropping by... I go by the name of Adam 'Archie' Archer, a birder from the West Midlands of England & Chief Executive of ASBO (Association of Satirical Birders & Ornithologists). This is simply a blog relaying my tales from around the wonderful Isles of Great Britain (& sometimes beyond). I have been fortunate to witness many great birding spectacles from Unst at the highest tip of Shetland in the far north to pelagic trips off the coast of the Isles of Scilly in the extreme south west. I also also include sightings from around my home in north Warwickshire and my local patch, Alvecote Pools a SSSI that straddles the Warwickshire & Staffordshire borders. Birding is a great hobby so please relax, smile & enjoy it.... & for goodness sake don't take it all so seriously! PLEASE NOTE THAT VIEWS EXPRESSED IN THE COMMENTS ARE NOT NECESSARILY SHARED.
