More of a bike ride with friends than a birding trip, but I was constantly left behind as usual!
Highlights were 2 Common Sandpipers, a few young broods of Mallards, a complete lack of Goosanders, 3 young Moorhens, many young White Wagtails - about 15 together at la Malate, and many seen on the sides of the river. A Peregrine at the Citadelle, a male and a fledgling Stonechat at Roche-lez-Beaupré and a moulting female Sparrowhawk being mobbed by Swallows at Vaire-le-Petit. There was also an increase in the number of Woodpigeons, with about 8 seen. |
