Wednesday, October 24, 2007 - Eagle Owl again

Yesterday I wrote how I felt that a church tower would have been a nice place for the Eagle Owl to sit on. Well - whadayaknow - today in the evening I was going out and I take a look out the staircase window.  The church tower I'm talking about (a pair of towers, actually) has a lump that isn't there usually. So I open the window again and sure enough, he's sitting there shouting. So I take my telescope out again for a closer look. This time I even got some pictures.

As I walk on the street then, the shouting of the owl is very loud as it echoes from the walls. There's even a small crowd standing by the church in question, listening and looking up to the tops of the towers. So I guess I have a new neighbor now, not as quiet as the rest of them. I don't mind, though.
