Bewick's Swan in the Po Delta, NE Italy, December 8, 2005Following a record of an adult Bewick's Swan at the Tomina reserve, N of Modena, from November 20 to 27, 2005, yesterday another one was found by Fausta Lui and Leonardo Cocchi at Valle Bertuzzi in the very hearth of the Po Delta, S of Venice. Both in the Tomina sanctuary and in the Bertuzzi lagoon there are populations of free living Mute Swans that are attractive for migrating swans.
