The long-staying Greater Sandplover in the Po Delta, NE Italy, December 14, 2005

A Greater Sandplover, second for Italy if accepted, was found last year while it was wintering in the Po Delta. The same individual returned this year and it's starting to winter again in the same spot, becoming the most twitchable rarity ever recorded in Italy.
