More Snow Geese and a Long-tailed Duck around VeniceLuca Sattin and Daniele Comin have found yesterday a Long-tailed Duck (Clangula hyemalis) at Punta Sabbioni near Venice; this species is very rare in the Mediterranean. Moreover Lucio Panzarin recorded 38 Snow Geese in a small reserve close to Martellago, not far from Venice. All geese are ringed and are probably coming from Germany (see this post).
