Siskins and Goldfinches at the feeder at Orvieto, C Italy

Gianni Cardinali, director of the bird reserve of Alviano, C Italy, decided to feed wintering Siskins at his garden in Orvieto in 1998. The small birds returned each winter to feed on sunflowers seeds. This year, a group of Goldfinches was found feeding on these seeds too.

Fantastic Photos

I must say your commenty and photos are excellent. It is so nice to see such big pictures of so many wonderful birds.

I live in Western Australia and love to go bird watching with my wife. We live near the ocean and also near some magnificent coatal wetlands. Both areas attract birds from the northern hemisphere every year.
