September 17, 2006 - ooo migrants

3 reed warblers were at Galley this morning with 1 wheatear and 5 redpolls over. A wryneck and a pied flycatcher were found this afternoon.  Muckross strand had 4 little stints, 1 spotted redshank and 8 curlew sandpipers this evening.

how is it going there? just back from climbing fuji and managed to get 3 JP ticks, including JP Accentor and House swift, on the way down. HOrrendous experience but well worth doing it, but only the once. I see that Cronin is still banging out the rares, de langer. What is he on now!?! I will never catch him at this rate. No internet at home yet but hopefully soon...I hope all is well at home with baby and mum. I will skype you when I get internet at home....
