October 20, 2006 - hermit thrush oml!

Cracking views of the hermit thrush on cape clear today, courtesy of de langer - what a find - cheers fella!! Numbers of common migs had dropped a good bit from monday's visit but still managed whinchat, blackcap, pied flycatcher, a good few chiffchaffs and a yellow-browed warbler.  It's been quite a week!!

I is but low listing scum on de emerald isle - oirish list 270 (3 below ya carmo!!) and cork list now 251 (1 above ya carmo!!). Sure, its all to play for!

....is all I have to say. Devastated can't even describe my feelings right now. I could only manage 6 species of flycatcher today and 1 species of shrike. No hermit thrush though...nice one fella, glad you got it. De langer just one off being a respectable birder now. We still have a bit to go. talk to you later
