Galley Head Birding

<%PhotoInfo%>

June 9, 2007 - close but no cigar

A reed warbler singing just outside the patch this evening could be a test of my honesty should the autumn not produce one (not that I've heard this one yet!). Another basking shark was off Long Strand this evening.

Hi Col,
Was that one singing at Castlefreke? That's the only site I can think of that's close enough to be just outside your patch AND have suitable Reed Warbler habitat.
Would fit in well with the bird(s) that I heard at Garretstown also...wonder how many pairs are outside of the main East Cork strongholds now?
