August 14, 2007 - another cory's

South-westerlies arrived this afternoon but not that much to show for them. A 3 hour watch off Galley  this evening produced 1 cory's shearwater, 2 balearic shearwaters, 11 sooty shearwaters, 1 bonxie, 22 puffins, 6 storm petrels and 20 golden plover.  Four black-tailed godwits were still at Kilkeran Lake this morning.

Hi Colin, thanks for the guestbook comment. By the way, do you know Mick Fox near Roscarbery? He's my aunty Angela's ex-husband. We bumped into him by accident in 2003 in the town. Hadn't seen him for 15 years! Say hi to him if you see him about.

Hi lads,
Col: sorry to barge in on your site, but Tom may be interested to know that Mick Fox was on holidays with us in Poland. Had made a mental connection, when I heard Mick was from Stoke, with Tom also being from there, but I never imagined that there would be any more of a connection between the two of them.
I don't want to tell tales, but I seem to remember Foxy moaning all the time while in Poland... ;-)
