A redshank woohoo! That's nothing mate, not a patch on my Glauc at the camber this morning, and with this wind, I'm just waiting for that Ross's to drift past - any minute now!

Ola pajeros,
Today, I have been mostly year-ticking Reed Bunting, Skylark, Common Sand, Kittiwake(!), Gannet(!) and YELLOW-LEGGED GULL (that bates an aul' Redshank or Glauc)...but no Caspo....
I reckon I know what the story is on 'em now: look at the UK distribution, with most in the Midlands or East Anglia, very rare in Wales, SW England etc...they dissolve in too much rain like an Alka Seltzer! Think about it: even when they DO turn up here, the first wet day and they're gone! The only TRULY twitchable one was in JUNE, which tends (only tends, mind) to be a drier month than the winter months.
I think I'm on to something here...a paper in BB beckons!

Suitcases is maletas biy, caspos is toast, and 2nd w ringo's is the dogs b*ll*cks! Had 2 at Cuskinny today, along with 3 ads, got good shots of all except 1 adult.

Ye can shove yer forsters up yer *rse, with yer redshanks.

And I wasn't implying that you hadn't seen Glauc, I was just pointing out that they are far better birds than gammy redlegs. As well you know, young laddy-o, where's yer troosers n all that.

Even Sandra's been having a dig of late. I should really stop being a ******. I'm gonna have to start being nice to people again soon tho, as when I leave the sea I'm gonna have to find people who are willing to feed me (not the kind of 'feed me to rottweilers' feed me type thing tho).

The joys of emotional instability - Glaucs rule, and ringo's, and caspo's if I can ever find one of the feckers.

Later sweethearts.

Hi C,
Black-throated Thrush, eh? Sounds good to me! Too damn windy to find passerines today, though...had 3 Oystercatchers over my gaff this a.m. and barely got on to 'em as they were being blown all over the place at a great height.
