Recording Sightings for the CWP

Please help us increase our knowledge of the CWP by sending in your bird records.

The Cotswold Water Park Society would be grateful if birders could send in their records collected during visits to the CWP. Increasing knowledge of our sites is enabling us to target areas for further protection or to attempt land purchase to create nature reserves.

Birders can help us to do this by sending in their records.Records may be sent to the Cotswold Water Park Society at Gareth.harris-at-Waterpark.org (please replace “-at-” with “@”) or Emailed to this Weblog via the Email link.

All records sent to the Cotswold Water Park Society are collated and then forwarded to the relevant county recorders. Sightings are also collated and published monthly.

Whilst we would welcome any records you may have and all records will be collated as above, this website will only show birds that can be seen in quarries or on private land if they can be safely viewed from a public right of way.  There are many public rights of way around the CWP and future entries will identify good birding spots within the CWP.

We would also be pleased to receive evidence of breeding birds within the CWP but will not display breeding sites for Schedule 1 species on this website.
